The SECU Hope Center is more than a building. It’s a promise — to children, families, and our community — that help, healing, and opportunity will always have a place here. For more than 25 years, One Place has brought essential services together under one roof. The SECU Hope Center is how we expand that work to meet rising need across Onslow County.

Same mission. Greater capacity. More children served.
For years, One Place has met families wherever we could — across offices, borrowed spaces, and locations never designed for the sensitive, life-changing work happening inside them.
But children experiencing trauma deserve more. Families seeking support deserve more. Our community deserves a space built for healing, learning, and connection.
This building is about dignity, safety, and belonging.
Reduce stress for children during difficult moments
Expand access to early education and family support
Train and support the early educators who shape young lives
Create a central, trusted place families can always turn to
Our Child Advocacy Center will provide child-friendly, trauma-informed spaces where children can feel protected and supported during some of the hardest moments of their lives. With capacity to serve two families simultaneously, no child will have to wait for help.
A state-of-the-art hub for learning, collaboration, and growth — serving early educators, community partners, and leaders from across the region. By investing in the people who support children every day, we strengthen outcomes for generations to come.
An outdoor space designed with intention — for reflection, calm, and connection. The Healing Garden offers children, families, and visitors a place to breathe, supporting emotional well-being through nature, quiet, and care.
Because healing doesn’t only happen inside four walls. Sometimes it begins with a moment of stillness, a breath of fresh air, and the quiet knowledge that you are safe.
This is a building designed around people — not processes.
Flexible rooms for meetings, trainings, and therapy
Technology to support in-person and virtual learning
Spaces designed to feel warm, welcoming, and non-institutional
Accessibility for families of all abilities and backgrounds
The SECU Hope Center is possible because of generous partners, donors, and community members who believe every child deserves safety, support, and opportunity. Your support creates a lasting impact — one that will serve children and families for decades to come.
