The Early Head Start Policy Council gives parents and community members a direct role in leading Early Head Start in Onslow County.
About the policy council
The Early Head Start Policy Council is made up of Early Head Start parents and community members who help lead and make decisions about the program. Members are elected by the parents of children enrolled in Early Head Start.
Parents of enrolled children choose the members who represent them, so families have a real voice in the program.
The council works closely with the program's management team and governing board to set the overall direction for Early Head Start in Onslow County.
Every enrolled family is part of the Early Head Start Parent Committee, which meets throughout the year. View Parent Committee meeting dates (PDF)
